The Wildwood Crest Centennial Summer Music Series continues Saturday, July 31 as Elton John tribute band Bennie and the Jets takes the stage at Centennial Park at 7:30 p.m.
Led by Greg Ransom, whose vocals, piano-playing ability and stage mannerisms closely resemble those of Elton John, and backed by a talented group of musicians, Bennie and the Jets is one of the premier tribute bands on the entertainment circuit. The band annually plays at festivals, nightclubs and other events and venues all over the country. Just recently, Bennie and the Jets returned from an overseas tour during which they entertained thousands of U.S. troops serving in Iraq and Kuwait.
Saturday’s all-ages show is FREE and open to the entire family. Those attending the show should bring a blanket or a chair.
Centennial Park is located at Fern Road and Ocean Avenue (6601 Ocean), just steps away from the beautiful beaches of Wildwood Crest. Free parking is available two blocks away at Myrtle Road and Ocean Avenue.
In the event of inclement weather, the show will be held inside the Crest Pier Recreation Center at 5800 Ocean Avenue.
