CREDIT AGENCY DROPS STATE’S RATING

The United States isn’t the only entity that has seen its credit rating drop. Fitch has dropped the state’s credit rating to AA- from AA. The agency says that there remains too much unfunded in pension and benefits for state employees. Gov. Chris Christie did not comment on the changes by the credit agency. Standard & Poor reduced the state’s credit rating in February, because important changes to pension and health benefits had not yet been implemented.
