A public workers union failed in its attempt to stop the privatization of the state’s lottery. The court ruled that the state was legal to sign the 15 year deal. Many were upset because the lottery was profitable, but Gov. Chris Christie was able to take action without lawmaker approval. The decision was rendered in the state’s appeals court.
