COUNTY WORKING TO GET LIGHTS FIXED ON NEW JERSEY AVE. IN CREST

Wildwood Crest this week supported a resolution to seek a $443,375 grant that would replace three stop lights on New Jersey Ave. The lights at Aster, Cardinal, and Sweet-briar roads have been stuck on a blinking yellow for some time now. A mechanism has caused the lights not to work. The grant money would be used to put three new lights in that would use red, yellow, and green. New Jersey Ave. is a county road and so county officials are working on the grant. Borough Clerk Kevin Yecco says this would make the road safer and move traffic more quickly.
