COUNTY: MOVING AHEAD WITH BUILDING NEW COUNTY JAIL

Cape May County is moving forward with building a new jail that will cost just over $37 million dollars.  The County issued a press release saying four options were considered at the October 12th caucus meeting and the most cost effective option was determined to be a new building.  Freeholder Gerry Thornton says the new jail will meet all of the county’s needs for the future with no increase in taxes.
