CONVENTION HALL BIDS REJECTED, MEMORIAL DAY 2012 REMAINS TARGET

Cape May’s City Council had to rejected all potential bids today during an one-item meeting for the new Convention Hall project. Mayor Ed Mahaney told Coastal Broadcasting that council was “disappointed” that they could not move forward with the bids, but are confident that the building can still be open by Memorial Day 2012. Mahaney noted that city had built in a three month cushion for an incident like this. Council will go back out to bid on the project with some slight revisions.
