CONSOLIDATION ANNOUNCED FOR TWO CATHOLIC PARISHES IN CAPE MAY COUNTY

A pair of Cape May County parishes are going to be merged. The Dioceses of Camden announced the consolidation of the Church of the Resurrection in Upper Township with St. Casimir in Woodbine and St. Elizabeth in Middle Township. The new parish name is going to create St. Maximilian Kolbe. In one month the decision will take effect on Dec. 14. Bishop Joseph Galante has ordered just under 40 mergers in the past three years.
