COMPLIANCE PLAN COULD HELP ASSESSMENT LEVELS IN MIDDLE TOWNSHIP

The issue over assessments and a potential reevaluation have been discussed for some time in Middle Township. Officials are moving forward with a compliance plan, which will allow the tax assessor to look at data within communities to make adjustments to assessments, without ordering a costly reevaluation. Committeeman Dan Lockwood estimated that a reevaluation could cost the township close to $1 million.
