COASTAL EVACUATION BILL TO GET FINAL ASSEMBLY VOTE THURSDAY

van drew picA bill to provide a more fully developed plan for coastal evacuation will face the full Assembly on Thursday. The omnibus bill was sponsored by State Senator Jeff Van Drew and is now working its way through the Assembly. Van Drew told Coastal Broadcasting the legislation marks recommendations that were made by a task force that looked at better ways the state could deal with this area. If the measure passes, it would head to Gov. Chris Christie’s desk to be signed into law.
