A debate in Lower Township is being saved. Coastal Broadcasting and the Cape May County Herald are teaming up to sponsor the debate. Incumbent Republican Councilman Tom Conrad said he would not compete in a debate sponsored by the Lower Township Taxpayers Association, because one of his opponents, Janet Pitts, is a former president of the organization. Pitts and Conrad have both confirmed they will take part in the debate, Independent Joseph Will has not yet said whether he will participate. The debate is scheduled for this Friday at 7 p.m. It will be located at the Millman Center.
