COAST GUARD MAKES BIG RESCUE NEAR BEACH HAVEN

The Coast Guard rescued three people after the 34-foot recreational boat they were aboard ran around in the vicinity of the Great Bay here, Monday.

The Coast Guard received a call at 5:33 a.m., over VHF-FM channel 16, from the owner of the Naughty Girl reporting they ran aground and were taking on water.

A 25-foot Response Boat – Small crew from Coast Guard Station Beach Haven arrived on scene and took the three people off the boat and transported them to Great Bay Marina in Beach Haven.

No injuries were reported.

Towboat US will salvage the recreational boat.
