The U.S. Coast Guard training facility in Cape May is holding a dedication ceremony on Tuesday for it’s staff barracks. The ceremony will honor a 1999 graduate of the Coast Guard base, Petty Officer 3rd Class Nathan Bruckenthal. The former recruit was killed by suicide bombers in April of 2004 during Operation Iraqi Freedom as he defended oil platforms. The dedication of the staff living quarters comes on the 13th anniversary of Bruckenthal’s graduation from the Cape May training facility.
