The cleanup continues Tuesday in Cumberland County’s coastal areas following a vicious line of thunderstorms that rolled through the region on Saturday night. More than two feet of water came up on local streets on Cumberland County’s bayside communities over the weekend, and the storm damage assessments have begun. Many piers and docks were wiped out by the strong storms and floodwaters. Emergency management officials say it will take some time to total up all of the storm damage.
