CHURCH BURNS IN LONGPORT FROM STORMY NIGHT

One of the casualties of the big storms that rolled through South Jersey early Saturday morning…a historic church in Longport.  Fire crews responded to a blaze at the Church of the Redeemer, which is more than a century old.  The fire was allegedly started by a tree limb that fell into a power line.  Various Atlantic County fire departments were called to the scene, while Cape May County fire officials served as backup.
