CHRISTIE WANTS NO EARLY RELEASE FOR PRISONERS

There has been a call made by Gov. Chris Christie to end a program that grants early release for prisoners. Christie made the comments on the heels of a murder in Jersey City, where a prisoner had been let out just six weeks prior, according to the Star-Ledger. The early release program allows for certain prisoners to be released months prior to their prison term ending as prisons in New Jersey emphasized more education and job training during those prison terms.
