CHRISTIE VETOES VAN DREW BILL ON TEACHERS CONTRACTSS

Three bills were conditionally vetoed by Gov. Chris Christie. One of the bills was sponsored by State Senator Jeff Van Drew. The legislation was going to force school districts to use money that is saved through renegotiating to save teacher’s jobs. Christie said the bill isn’t clear enough and that districts might be discouraged from trying to go through renegotiating.
