CHRISTIE TURNS IN ‘RACE TO THE TOP’ DOCUMENTS TO DEMS

A report on nj.com suggests that Governor Chris Christie has agreed to turn over important documents regarding New Jersey’s failed “Race to the Top” application to key democrats in Trenton.  The online report today says that Christie met with New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney Monday afternoon and agreed to hand over the documents so he could avoid having the democrats vote in favor of a meeting that would call Christie’s current and former aides to testify at a public meeting.  The state failed to properly fill out paperowrk for the federal program, which negated any chances of getting $400 million in federal education funding.
