CHRISTIE TURNS ATTENTION TO ETHICS REFORM

Gov. Chris Christie continued his town-hall meetings on Monday and continued to push the legislature for its inaction. This time, Christie was pushing an ethics reform package. On September 8, 2010, Governor Christie put forward an ethics reform package to provide New Jerseyans the government they deserve, including a specific proposal to eliminate the “fair and open” loophole in the state’s pay-to-play law cited by the state Comptroller’s report from last week, citing problems with the state’s pay-to-play legislation. Christie said the time for action was now for lawmakers.
