CHRISTIE: TOWNS MUST ACCEPT PREPAID TAXES BEFORE END OF THIS YEAR

Governor Christie has signed an executive order that mandates local communities to accept prepaid property tax payments for the first and second quarters of next year.  The payments must be postmarked before the end of the year.  Christie says the move will help some residents pay taxes early and continue to use the federal tax deduction before it disappears in 2018.
