CHRISTIE TO CLOSE VINELAND DEVELOPMENTAL CENTER

It looks like the demise of the Vineland Developmental Center is official.  Just before the weekend the state’s Department of Human Services posted on its website that the center would be offically closing by June, 2013.  The plan was first announced this winter by Governor Chris Christie and local lawmakers have been doing what they can to fight the closing of the center.  Over one thousand people are employed at the center.
