CHRISTIE SIGNS BILL TO PROMOTE OPEN SPACE

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed bills into law on Monday that promotes some open space initiatives in the Garden State while sending some state funding to Cape May County.  Christie signed a package of bills designed to protect open space, improve recreation, and protect some wetlands along with Barnegat Bay.  The measure provides funding for some Delaware Bay acquisitions in Cape May and Cumberland counties, while also providing funding for conservancy efforts in both counties as well.
