Gov. Chris Christie issued a conditional veto to the bill that was passed by lawmakers to cap property tax increases at 2.9 percent. Christie sent back instructions based on a compromise worked out with Senate Democrats. The Senate is expected to vote on the bill on Thursday. The Assembly may take more time with the bill.
