CHRISTIE SAYS PUBLIC SAFETY MUST MAKE CONCESSIONS

A debate is brewing over the high profile layoffs in cities likes Newark, Camden, and locally in Wildwood. Gov. Chris Christie weighed in on Monday saying it is up to the public safety unions to make concessions to keep their jobs. The state’s highest official said that the contracts are very lucrative and unaffordable for most governments. The governor also called the contracts suffocating to local towns.
