CHRISTIE READY TO NOMINATE NEW HEAD OF SCHOOLS

A former New York City deputy schools chancellor is going to be nominated by Gov. Chris Christie to be the top education official in the state. Christie is going to nominate Christopher Cerf to be the new education commissioner in the state. Bret Schundler was the former head, but was fired following the state’s failed bid for “race to the top.” Cerf will still need to be approved by the full senate.
