CHRISTIE: PROPERTY TAX REBATES ARE COMING BACK

New Jersey Governor Christopher Christie announced Monday that popular property tax rebates are coming back in 2011.  Christie announced during a town meeting in Chelsihurst that the rebates will come back this year but not in the form of a check; instead, the rebates will be issued quarterly as a credit on property tax bills.  Christie says the checks are just too costly to print and mail.  The rebates are expected to go into effect during the second quarter of the calendar year.
