CHRISTIE PRESENTS BUDGET, STATE AID FLAT, SCHOOL FUNDING UP

A new budget has been introduced by Gov. Chris Christie. The new budget includes a $250 million increase in school funding. The $29.4 billion spending plan will keep state aid level, and $200 million in tax cuts to help businesses. Christie said New Jersey was leading the way and that other states were following the lead. The governor also said he would make a $500 million payment into the state’s pension system is pension reform is passed next month.
