CHRISTIE: NO WELFARE FOR CHILDLESS ADULTS WITH DRUG CONVICTIONS

Governor Christie says he continues to support his policy of no welfare benefits for childless adults who are convicted of drug offenses.  Christie says he is open to a compromise, but for now, his policy sticks.  Democrats have approved bills that would allow these adults to collect the benefits only if they complete a drug treatment program.
