CHRISTIE NEEDS TO DECIDE ON MINIMUM WAGE

If Gov. Christie fails to veto the new minimum wage bill that’s been sitting on his desk since the end of June, the bill will become law after 45 legislative days. Christie has been critical of the legislation, that will raise the current minimum wage of $8.38 per hour to $10.10 on January 1st. Then the minimum amount would increase by $1.25 per year or $1 plus an inflation adjustment, whichever is greater, to at least $15/hr in five years.
