CHRISTIE LOOKING FOR OVER $50 MILLION FROM FEMA

An application has been made for $53 million in federal aid from the Christmas weekend blizzard the state received. Gov. Chris Christie sent that in to FEMA. Officials came to New Jersey to assess the storm and look at clean up costs. The application is a combination of state and county costs. Some parts of the state received over 30 inches of snow as a result of the storm.
