CHRISTIE: HORSE RACING SHOULD CONTINUE, BUT NO STATE FUNDING

Gov. Chris Christie would like to see horse racing exist in the state, but the state can’t afford to pay for it. Christie addressed the issue on Tuesday. Christie spoke about the issue during a fundraiser for Pennsylvania Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett. The Governor was addressing the issue following the Democratic gaming committee’s report. Christie said that he would work with lawmakers on their proposal, saying their report is similar to what his office came up with.
