CHRISTIE HASN’T DECIDED ON PORT AUTHORITY TOLL HIKE

It is unclear whether a toll increase by the Port Authority will be allowed. Gov. Chris Christie has said he hasn’t made a decision yet and he plans on discussing the decision with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The increase would be #4 for E-ZPass customers and $7 for those paying cash. The Port Authority runs a number of crossings between the two state, including the George Washington Bridge and the Holland and Lincoln tunnels. The additional toll money will help with the reconstruction of the World Trade Center, among other capital projects.
