CHRISTIE EXPECTED TO LINE ITEM VETO DEMOCRATS BUDGET PROPOSAL

gov_christieNew Jersey will likely fall short on its pension payment when it is all said and done. Senator Jeff Van Drew told Coastal Broadcasting he expects Gov. Chris Christie to line item veto the Democrats budget that will include a millionaires tax. Christie gets the final say in the budget and Christie only wants to cover this year’s pension payment, but not chipping away at the past shortfalls, which will put the system in more of a deficit. The Democrats plan would see the millionaire’s tax sunset in three years.
