CHRISTIE DISCUSSING BAIL REFORM LEGISLATION IN TRENTON

Summer break is interrupted for lawmakers in Trenton on Thursday.  New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has called lawmakers back to the statehouse on Thursday to discuss proposed legislation that would reform bail laws in the Garden State.  The plan has bipartisan support, but not in the entire state.  Lawmakers in the southern portion of New Jersey support it, but some northern New Jersey lawmakers oppose it.  One provision would allow judges to deny bail for anyone who’s dangerous and a risk to flee.
