CHRISTIE BEGINS BUDGET ADDRESS IN TRENTON

Chris ChristieNew Jersey Governor Chris Christie began his budget address in Trenton this afternoon by stating that the budget is balanced and requires no new taxes on the people of the State of New Jersey.  Christie is currently addressing the legislature and announced that the spending plan totals $34.5 billion, and includes $300 million in surplus funding.  This is Christie’s fifth budget address before the legislature, his first in his new term.   He has committed $2.25 billion in mandatory pension payments.
