CHRISTIE AIMS TO KEEP SUPERINTENDENT SALARIES IN CHECK

gov_christieThe next area of reform Gov. Chris Christie is looking at is superintendent salaries. Christie said on Thursday he wants controls placed on their salaries, depending on how many children are in the district. The pay scale would go from $120,000 to over $175,000. Bonuses could also be handed in out in districts where students significant improvement as defined by state-standards. A tier system would also be in place for districts that share superintendents and the goal would be to see more sharing taking place.
