CHILDREN, GUESS WHAT? YOU CAN’T GET MARRIED IN NEW JERSEY

Children can no longer get married in the State of New Jersey.  Governor Murphy signed a new bill into law that establishes the minimum age to get married in New Jersey at 18.  No marriage licenses will be issued to anyone under the age of 18.  Over 3,600 minors got married in New Jersey during a 20-year span ending in 2015.
