CHARGES LEVIED IN HEALTH INSURANCE FRAUD CASE

An Atlantic City man who was charged with theft in connection with health insurance fraud was arrested Thursday, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel stated.

On November 3, 2011, detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Insurance Fraud Unit arrested Jason Marinari, 31, a fugitive who escaped from a Montgomery County correctional work release program in Norristown, Pennsylvania in July 2011.

The case originated when Somer’s Point Police department uncovered that Marinari had allegedly committed thousands of dollars worth of health insurance fraud, posing as Christopher Zahn, 28, of Brown Mills, New Jersey in September at Shore Memorial Hospital.
