CAPE MAY TO RESTRICT PLASTIC PACKAGING, DISCUSS CITY MANAGER POSITION

The Cape May City Council meets Tuesday evening and is expected to hold a public hearing on an ordinance that would restrict some plastic packaging in the community.  Some local towns, including Avalon and Stone Harbor, restrict plastic bags, straws, and styrofoam packaging; the state failed to enact a plastic bag ban during the last legislative session.  Council is also expected to discuss a city manager’s position.
