IT’S OVER: CAPE MAY SETTLES POLICE CHIEF CASE, COSTS $800,000

A very expensive settlement for the City of Cape May in the Robert Sheehan matter.  Cape May will pay $800,000 in settlement money to its former police chief, with more than half of the settlement not being paid by insurance.  Sheehan had been demoted from the rank of Chief to Captain, and failed to reinstate him after it was proven Sheehan didn’t do anything wrong regarding the awarding of comp time.
