CAPE MAY NEEDS $3 MILLION MORE TO COMPLETE CONVENTION HALL PROJECT

Another town hall meeting was held at the end of last week to show why Cape May needs to spend an additional $3 million over the $10.5 million that was approved by voters for the Convention Hall project. Bids have come in and in order to fit everything that the city would like to put into the project, then the city will need to bond additional money. Three new council members are set to take office on July 1 and will certainly have a lot to say about where the project goes from here. Voters approved a bond of $10.5 million in November 2008 for the project.
