The City of Cape May introduced a $3.4 million bond ordinance to purchase land on the north side of town for a new park. Mayor Ed Mahaney told The Press of Atlantic City that he expects most of the purchase price of the 38-acres will be covered by Green Acres and Blue Acres funds. The new park will be located on Lafayette Street on the former Vance’s Bar property. There will be a public hearing on the ordinance in March prior to a vote by city council.
