CAPE MAY COUNTY OEM ADVANCES TO NEXT-GEN 911 SYSTEM

The Cape May County Office of Emergency Management is now the first in South Jersey to have the next generation 911 cellular phone system.  The system will allow rescue to locate someone who places a 911 call within 150 feet of the actual caller location, rather than the nearest cell phone tower.  Department Director Marty Pagliughi says the system works regardless if the caller is stationery, running, driving, or boating.
