CAPE MAY COUNTY HOSTS ANNUAL EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS CONFERENCE

Cape May County logoThe annual Emergency Preparedness Conference became even more important this year after Hurricane Irene. Cape May County officials along with representatives talked about the success they had in evacuating people from the county. No deaths were attributed to the storm in the county. Despite the success from the storm, officials continue to look for ways to do better. One issue that was raised for the need for more shelters and potentially transitional housing if a storm destroyed homes.
