CAPE MAY, ATLANTIC COUNTIES TOP TWO CATEGORIES IN NJ OPIOID REPORT

New information was released on Tuesday by the Department of Law and Public Safety and NJCARES, showing the number of drug overdose deaths in New Jersey on the rise, despite a dramatic drop in the number of filled opioid prescriptions. In 2017, Cape May County saw the most opioid prescriptions dispensed per resident, while Atlantic County had the highest suspected overdose death rate on a per capita basis.
