BUDGET SHOWDOWN LOOMS IN TRENTON, DEMS SCRAP GOVERNOR’S BUDGET

It’s the legislature versus the governor in the latest annual budget battle in New Jersey.  Democratic leaders in Trenton are scrapping their own governor’s budget plan that includes a millionaire’s tax for their own spending plan.  NJ.com reports that the budget also cancels a plan by Governor Phil Murphy to raise permit fees and put new taxes on guns and ammo.
