BREAKING RECORDS: RECORD HEAT GRIPS THE SHORE

The National Weather Service predicts that more temperature records will tumble on Tuesday as the mercury is expected to approach the century mark, even in some beach towns.  The hottest day of 2010 will take place on Tuesday as very warm air will be pumped from the south over our region.  High temperatures are forecast to be in the upper 90s at the beaches, and it’s fairly certain that the 100 degree barrier will be surpassed in South Jersey.  Overnight temperatures Tuesday night will fall only to the mid 70s.  Another day in the 90s will come on Wednesday.  On Monday, an all-time record high temperature for July 5th was set in Atlantic City, as the mercury hit 99 degrees.
