BREAK IN THE DAVIES TRIAL; DEFENSE BEGINS ON MONDAY

The prosecution has rested its case in the murder trial of North Wildwood resident Robert Davies.  Davies is the local man who’s accused of killing a tourist in Margate back in 2007.  The 49 year old Davies maintains he used self defense when he plunged a knife into Lavern Paul Ritch.  Davies had acted as his own attorney in the case until this week when he sought professional legal help.  The murder weapon has never been recovered; the defense will get the case next week, on Monday.
