BOROUGH OF WOODBINE GETS DCA GRANT

Mayor William Pikolycky is pleased to announce that the Borough of Woodbine has been awarded $380,000 from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for improvements to the Woodbine Municipal Utilities Authority Water Treatment Plant and to construct a Senior Citizen Addition to the Community Center along with related renovations.

Work on the Woodbine MUA Water Treatment Plant would include various state-of-the art upgrades. This project enhances operation of the newly installed  municipal well.

The Borough proposes to construct an approximately 600 sq ft addition including an outside deck to the Community Center to be dedicated to Senior Citizen activities. To enable Cape May County Department on Aging to provide a nutrition program at the site, the Community Center food-preparation area must be renovated to adequately heat and warm meals according to county requirements.
