BORGATA DISPUTES TAX SETTLEMENT AMOUNT IN AC RECOVERY PLAN

The Borgata Casino/Hotel denies the tax settlement proposed by Atlantic City officials in their financial plan that was rolled out on Monday. The city owes the Borgata $150 million in tax refunds and announced a proposed settlement amount of $103 million. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Borgata officials are willing to compromise on their tax appeals and refund judgements, but said that no settlement amount has been agreed upon. The Borgata says they will wait until after Atlantic City and State officials have agreed to a viable financial plan, before they will resume tax settlement negotiations.
