BLOOD DRIVE TO BE HELD MONDAY

The Cape May County Department of Health will host an American Red Cross blood drive open to the public on Monday, November 29, 2010.  The blood drive will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located at 12 Moore Road in the Crest Haven Complex, exit 11 off the Garden State Parkway.

Cape May County Freeholder Thornton said, “Each donation can help save up to three lives and that blood can only come from a volunteer donor – a person like you who makes the choice to donate.”

Cape May County contributes approximately 4,500 units of blood each year.   Twice a year the county holds a blood drive for employees, their families and friends and encourages members of the public to donate blood as well.  Freeholder Thornton added, “Cape May County Government employees are to be commended for doing their part.  County employees donate on average 120 pints each year.”
